Unfit

Despite knowing that I was completely out of dog food yesterday I refused to stop at the store ro replenish my supply. I don't know what I was thinking I'd do to keep the pup fed this morning. 2 slices of salami (thanks, Roomie!) and a scoop of peanut butter later, and I don't think Miss Sadie was too pleased with my decision making skills.

Don't feel too bad! I have totally done the same thing! We call it "special supper". We always give them a little bit of cheese, a few slices of sandwich meat and bread.

Last week I gave my dog a bratwurst for dinner AND breakfast the next morning! Maybe I should have given him a bun too?

Conveniently (or not so), I just stopped at the house between jobs and noticed we are out of dog food. Poor puppies really wanted some dinner but I have to go make the paycheck to buy it first. Booo I'm a bad momma.

Rice and chicken
Rice and eggs
Rice and any kind of broth

Dogs love it and it isn't hard at all on their tummies.
I always feed my dog a rice mixture if I'm in a pinch.

I think most dog parents have been in that situation at some point! Poor pup!

Hehehe. We have ALL done that. It makes me giggle that our poor pups generally don't know the difference, thankfully, and they still love us regardless! You saved Sadie's LIFE for goodness sake, she can handle some peanut butter. At least, that's how I look at Rileybear too :) hehe.

Can't wait to see you in a few weeks!

Aw, we've all done that! And this is coming from someone who usedt to work for the SPCA!

When we're out of dog food, I feed the pups some plain oatmeal. They don't love it, but, they'll eat it!
