The Money Tree

I'm usually very strict about my spending. Operating on an annual salary of less than $30K, I have to be creative with my budget each month. Apparently I've spent the past two weeks ignoring that and have shopped like a fool. I'm going to be the only person in the world who goes into debt bargain hunting. Here's a breakdown of my loot...

1. BCBG brown, embellished cocktail dress.
Retail price: $235
Polka Dots & Protein Bars price: $22
2. Trina Turk bright, graphic vintage dress.
Retail price: $302
Polka Dots & Protein Bars price: $31
3. Nine West oversized gray, crocodile, patent leather bag
Retail price: $120
Polka Dots & Protein Bars price: $50
4. Lotus lace tiered pink party dress
Retail price: $116
Polka Dots & Protein Bars price: $29
5. Lotus white draped embellished tunic dress
Retail price: $116
Polka Dots & Protein Bars price: $29

Total Spent: $161
Total Saved: $728

We'll just called it Polkanomics.

Isn't it the greatest feeling in the world to add up the original prices and then compare that to what you actually paid? I love it - such a sense of accomplishment!
